Semi-permanent makeup, also known as micropigmentation, is a professional technique. Special devices are used during the application, which, through a very fine needle, introduce the pigment under the skin, at the inner epidermal level.

The needles used are single-use and sterilized, in specially sealed packaging.

Cheap machines of dubious quality and origin pose risks to your health (transmission of hepatitis, AIDS, etc.). These machines come into direct contact with the needle, and simple disinfection is not enough to eliminate these risks!

The devices I use at Secret Makeup do not come into contact with the single-use needles, which eliminates any possibility of transmitting infectious diseases. So be careful: a very low price for semi-permanent makeup means a cheap machine and cheap pigments, with all the negative consequences that follow.

How long the result of semi-permanent makeup lasts depends on many factors. The result will last about one to two years, depending on your skin, your hormones and your age. In younger people it lasts less time, because skin cells renew more often. To keep the color fresh, I recommend a touch-up, usually after one year.

You should also remember that the worst enemy of semi-permanent makeup is the sun. It fades the color. For this reason, in summer you should use sun protection of no less than SPF 30.

How long the application takes depends on the area being treated, but it usually takes one to two hours.

No, it does not hurt, because at Secret Makeup I use a topical anesthetic in cream form that completely numbs the area being treated. The whole procedure takes place in a comfortable position, lying back and listening to pleasant music. You relax, and sometimes you may even fall asleep.

Yes, everything as normal. Healing is very quick (in 6-8 days). You will not be able to go to the beach during the first week. During this time your semi-permanent makeup will stay a little darker, but do not worry, because once the scab falls off the color will lighten and look natural!

The semi-permanent makeup procedure is always completed in 2 sessions within 30-45 days. The result lasts one to two years, depending on your skin, your hormones and your age. To keep the color fresh, I recommend a touch-up, usually after one year.

Aftercare is very simple! For the first few days you should avoid contact with water and use the special cream that your specialist will recommend.

The technology of applying semi-permanent makeup does not depend on the season, unlike the aftercare requirements. If you have semi-permanent makeup in summer, you should avoid the sea and the sun for at least 5 days so that the result is not spoiled.

If you swim often, I recommend wearing a hat to protect the treated area from sunlight for the next three weeks after the application.

So, if you want to go on vacation, you should schedule the procedure at least two weeks before you leave. Remember that semi-permanent makeup must be protected from ultraviolet rays!
