What is the application procedure for men's semi-permanent eyebrow or eye makeup?
The application is done with a nano machine, which allows us to draw extremely fine little hairs that cannot be told apart from your natural ones. The result looks realistic even on close inspection.
For men’s semi-permanent eyebrow makeup, we usually recommend the hair-stroke technique, or hair strokes combined with shading. The colour must be fairly soft and natural.
Semi-permanent makeup, or micropigmentation, is a professional technique. During the application we use special machines which, through a very fine needle, insert the pigment under the skin, at an intra-epidermal level.
The machine I use for micropigmentation (semi-permanent makeup) is the latest nano technology and one of the best in the world, from the leading Italian brand ‘BIOTEK’.
The needles used are disposable and sterile, in specially sealed packaging.
The quality of the products obviously affects the price.
Cheap machines of doubtful quality and origin pose risks to your health (transmission of hepatitis, AIDS, etc.). These machines come into direct contact with the needle, and simple disinfection is not enough to rule out the above risks!
The machines I use in my studio do not come into contact with the disposable needles, so any possibility of transmitting infectious diseases is eliminated. So be careful, because a very low price for semi-permanent makeup means a cheap machine and cheap pigments, with all the negative consequences that follow.

Does men's semi-permanent eyebrow makeup affect my natural hair?
No! Hair-stroke semi-permanent makeup does not affect your natural hair! The pigment is implanted in the middle layer of the skin (the dermis), so the hair follicles are not affected and it is completely harmless.
Your natural hairs will stay in your eyebrows and often grow within the shape.
With men's semi-permanent eyebrow makeup, can the pigment implanted in my skin change colour over time?
It is very important which pigment is used for your semi-permanent makeup. A good-quality pigment will never change colour, no matter how much time passes. In my studio I use ECO pigments – hypoallergenic and high quality – which have nothing to do with ordinary body inks or classic tattooing. They are organic, semi-permanent, from European companies, and are produced under the strict rules of European legislation (Eco Color, Biotek, Swiss Color, Nouveau Contour).
Unfortunately, even now we can still see black eyebrows with a blue or green tint.
That is how it used to be done, that is, with a regular, classic tattoo. Such work was done by non-professionals, and even with body inks. Body ink contains a special acid that must not be used on the face.
How long does the application of men's semi-permanent eyebrow makeup with the hair-stroke technique take?
One to two hours. During the application you will be lying down in comfortable professional equipment, with music playing.
Does the application of men's semi-permanent eyebrow makeup hurt?
It does not hurt, because in my studio I use a topical anaesthetic cream, which completely numbs the area where the application is done.
After men's semi-permanent eyebrow makeup, can I immediately go out in the sun, exercise and carry on going to work?
Yes, everything as normal. This particular technique is quite gentle and does not traumatise your skin, which is why healing is very quick (6-8 days). You will not be able to go to the beach during the first week. During this period your eyebrows will stay slightly darker, but do not worry: as soon as the scab falls off, the colour will lighten and look natural!
Is aftercare needed immediately after men's semi-permanent makeup?
The aftercare is very simple! During the first few days you will avoid contact with water and use the special cream that I will recommend.
How many sessions are needed to see the result, and how long does it last?
The application process for men’s semi-permanent eyebrow makeup is always completed in 2-3 sessions within 30-45 days.
The result lasts one to two years, depending on your skin, your hormones and your age. To keep the colour fresh, I usually recommend a touch-up after a year.
Can I have men's semi-permanent eyebrow makeup done in summer?
The application technique for hair-stroke semi-permanent makeup does not depend on the season, unlike the aftercare requirements. If you have men’s semi-permanent eyebrow makeup done in summer, you must avoid the sea and the sun for at least 10 days, so that the scab is not affected and the result is not spoiled.
If you swim often, I recommend wearing a hat to protect your eyebrow area from sunlight for the three weeks after the application.
So, if you want to go on holiday, you should schedule the procedure at least two weeks before you leave. Remember that semi-permanent makeup must be protected from ultraviolet rays!
Therefore, the sunscreen you use should be no lower than SPF 30.
