Chemotherapy and Semi-Permanent Makeup

Semi-permanent makeup (medical tattooing) is not applied only to make us look more beautiful, but also during difficult moments in life. For example, for patients who find out they have cancer and will probably lose their hair. These people have a real need for semi-permanent makeup. This service helps lift their spirits, even if only a little.

A woman always wants to look beautiful, and what we see in the mirror plays a big part for us. It is very important, when a woman becomes a patient, when she finds out she has cancer and must undergo chemotherapy (which is necessary for her to regain her health), that she knows there is a solution so she does not lose the appearance she is used to.

With the help of semi-permanent makeup ( microblending, hair strokes, brow shading, eyeliner ), we can visually correct the problem areas caused by certain illnesses. Usually after chemotherapy, patients lose the hair in the eyebrow and eyelash areas.

With my experience and knowledge, my love for my profession and a complete understanding of how a woman feels when she loses her eyebrows, I can help these people find the psychological comfort needed to fight the disease. After all, among other things, a woman also has emotional needs. For this reason, a positive state of mind matters a great deal for recovery.

After chemotherapy, while waiting for their hair to grow back, patients have to keep drawing on their eyebrows and eyes with a pencil. This causes additional hardship. Some prefer not to resort to any tricks and see their new appearance as a symbol of the struggle and of victory over the illness. The choice can be either. Some cannot accept their new appearance, and for them there is a solution.

With the help of semi-permanent makeup ( microblending, hair strokes, brow shading, eyeliner ), it is possible to rebuild lost eyebrows and to emphasize the lash line, which will make the eyes look brighter. This will support your emotional state, you may feel better, and you may feel attractive again.
Taking into account the stage of the oncological disease, the semi-permanent makeup procedure can only be done with permission from your doctor.

The pigments used for semi-permanent makeup or medical tattooing do not contain prohibited ingredients. For example, haloorganic compounds are not harmful to the human body.

What pigments do I use?

In my studio I use ECO pigments: hypoallergenic, high-quality pigments that have nothing to do with classic body pigments or classic tattooing. They are organic, semi-permanent pigments from European companies, produced under the strict rules of European legislation (Eco Color, Biotek, Swiss Color, Nouveau Contour).

What services can patients choose before or after chemotherapy:

Eyeliner (lash-line enhancement) is a fine line that follows the eye. The pigment is placed right at the base of the lashes. It is a very discreet, fine eyeliner that simply enhances your eyes. You can also choose the classic eyeliner, where the line is a little thicker with a small wing.

Tattooing / semi-permanent makeup for the eyebrows is carried out using one of the following techniques:

Brow shading ( shading brows / Nano spray / Powder brows): by filling the whole surface of the eyebrows with the desired shade, we achieve a very natural result, like when you draw your eyebrows with a pencil or shadow.

Hair strokes ( Microblading ) (imitation of natural hairs).

Lip tattooing is best avoided.

This is because the procedure can trigger the herpes virus, which would greatly worsen the patient’s condition during chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
