ANAESTHESIA. Any professional specialist should offer you anaesthesia during micropigmentation (semi-permanent makeup application – eyebrow tattooing). If you were not offered anaesthesia, it means that the “specialist” is either cutting costs at your expense or does not know how to use anaesthesia properly.
Pain relief is not used in every procedure. In fact, the semi-permanent makeup – tattooing procedure is not as painful as you think. For example, my clients usually fall asleep during eyebrow tattooing! The sensation is like when you pluck your eyebrows, a little pinch on your skin (a slight discomfort). Anaesthesia is mainly needed for semi-permanent lip makeup, since the skin is much thinner. Although there are women and girls who endure the lip tattooing procedure (without anaesthesia!) and feel no pain. In any case, this is discussed with you beforehand! Furthermore, the higher your level of trust in the specialist you have chosen, the more relaxed the person is and the more comfortable the procedure will be for them.
