This is a truly unique technique: pain, blood and scars are a thing of the past!
My name is Maryna Parkhomenko, I am a semi-permanent makeup specialist, and I would like to share with you the secrets of successful semi-permanent makeup – tattooing. First of all, the method of placing pigments under the skin is completely different from a classic tattoo.
Today let’s talk about a very beautiful technique called brow and lip “shading”. Semi-permanent makeup is makeup that lasts 1 to 3 years. How long it lasts depends on your metabolism and your age (in younger people the skin renews itself faster). If the area is exposed to the sun without sun protection, the pigment simply fades. If your skin is very oily it will last less time and you will need to have maintenance sessions more often. If your skin is dry and thin it will last longer. The choice of your specialist (PMU artist) also plays an important role, as do the quality of the pigment and the machine used for your semi-permanent makeup. So let’s start from the beginning. We women always want to be beautiful and well-groomed. Every morning we start with light or heavier makeup. Putting on makeup every morning takes time and is tiring, especially if you can’t find the brow shape that suits your facial features! Semi-permanent makeup is something that will make your life easier. Defined brows are not just today’s fashion. A light shading on the brows, with a carefully chosen shape that suits your face oval and a colour (your specialist will recommend it) that matches your hair colour and your colouring, will make your face look more expressive and your eyes more beautiful! Brows are a key element of the face. Brow shading is a natural choice, and the final result will look as if you had lightly defined your brows with a pencil. Semi-permanent lip makeup has a very natural result. The outline and fill will create a natural shading on your lips. The colour can be very soft or very intense, depending on what you like and what you are used to. It also lets you perfect their shape, correct any asymmetries and give them a vivid colour. With lip tattooing we can also give them a little extra volume.
Semi-permanent makeup, or micropigmentation, is a professional technique that consists of the mechanical micro-implantation of hypoallergenic, sterilised pigments into the epidermis, in a safe and painless way. During the application, special machines are used that, through a very fine needle, deposit the pigment under the skin, at an inner-epidermal level. Once the initial settling period, which usually lasts around eight days, has passed, the pigments remain permanently under the epidermis. However, 30 days must pass for the process to be completely finished. It is usually done in two sessions. During micropigmentation we use a topical anaesthetic in cream form. Afterwards your lips will be swollen for about 2 days. Not very much. With proper care they will return to normal fairly quickly.
